Senior Sales / Project Manager - Manchester

We’re looking for a Senior Sales / Project Manager to lead a fast-paced, growing exhibitor sales team at a large-scale events service supplier.

You’ll need awareness and experience of the exhibitions / trade show / expo industry and a proven track record in driving success in a B2B sales team environment.

The Role:

As Senior Sales & Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading sales and developing a team of Project Managers to deliver key projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and scope and hitting sales target.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading sales team to consistently attain and exceed sales targets and revenues.
• Generating new business opportunities through the Sales Team.
• Securing repeat business with existing clients through the Sales Team.
• Driving the Sales Team activity including face to face and telephone enquiries.
• Account management maintaining and developing key accounts.
• Measuring KPIs, ensuring achievement of same.
• Driving revenue forward and increasing growth where possible.
• Proactively contacting key clients at appropriate intervals to establish requirements.
• Preparation and analysis of management information.
• Taking part in relevant internal / external teleconferences/meetings as required.
• Attending regular review meetings with selected key clients where necessary.
• Leading the Project Team for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Assisting the Project Team where required with project scope and objectives.
• Ensuring adequate resource availability and allocation.
• Measuring KPIs, ensuring achievement of same.
• Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Reporting and escalating to management as needed.
• Successfully managing the relationship with all stakeholders.
• Performing risk management to minimize project risks.

Key Requirements:

• General events industry awareness to include knowledge of basic H&S
• Numeric, keyboard and computer skills - must be confident in Excel & Word
• Ability to work under pressure & manage workloads
• Willingness to learn & use initiative
• Independent to work on your own when team members are on site
• Quick thinker to resolve problems quickly
• Strong & pro-active team member
• Flexible and mature approach to work
• Confident personality with a can-do attitude
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
