Exciting Senior Sales Manager position with immediate start at large-scale B2B exhibition organiser.

You’ll need to be a motivated, self-starter exhibition sales professional with a proven track-record and the ability to hit the ground running within this contract-to-perm position.

The Role:

We’re looking for a fast-moving and highly organised exhibition salesperson to airdrop into a large scale exhibition organiser with immediate effect. You’ll be working on a 130+ supplier specialist technology exhibition and free-to-attend, high calibre 2-day conference programme taking place in early 2018!

You’ll be solely responsible for all commercial related activities in the remaining 2-3 months before the event. This will include creating an effective and fun working team environment, selling the last remaining stands, managing relationships with existing clients.

You’ll be working with marketing, conference production, operations and PR teams to execute all sponsor and exhibitor agreements and you’ll coordinate an effective onsite rebook.

  • Generate incremental revenue streams from existing exhibitors by creating compelling integrated solutions
  • Create solutions that meet with their business goals of exhibitors
  • Work closely with all relevant content, research, marketing and commercial teams, sharing contact information with all relevant parties to build both knowledge and skill sets
  • Assist in creating compelling sales materials which support repeat (and secure new) revenue streams
  • Share best practice and collaborate with wider commercial team to develop core commercial skills (networking, influencing, business acumen etc.)
  • Keep exhibition and conference floor plans accurate, avoiding any void areas & keeping colleagues informed of any floor plan movements or changes.
  • Contribute to the timely delivery and effectiveness of exhibitor and visitor promotions.
  • Supply accurate sales data to colleagues when required.
  • Help in the delivery of events as required and directed by show teams.
  • Support the Group Event Director in the delivery of client events including exhibitor training day.
  • Daily management of direct report(s) x 1
  • Compiling, analysing and reporting sales figures.
  • Reviewing team performance weekly, motivating them to reach agreed targets and facilitating career progression.
  • Training team members to grow their sales capabilities

  • Creative thinking: Ability to identify opportunities and then develop new initiatives and compelling creative solutions

  • Effective communicator: Demonstrates ability to build rapport with senior industry contacts; adept at networking and socialize productively; and able to relate to others at all levels both internally and externally
  • Project management skills; Track record in planning and delivering to agreed time and budget schedules.
