We are working with the UK’s leading festival for everything outdoors! With a visitor list of over 4,000 and growing each year, the event can boast working with some of the UK’s most well-known household names. Olympians, Explorers and much loved TV celebrities support and promote the event, which is growing year on year.

Due to this success, they are now in a position to expand their sales team by hiring a professional, proven and driven Sales Manager to join the business and help grow the event to the next level.

As a Sales Manager your key responsibilities will be:

  • To identify, win and close new business opportunities
  • Self-generate new business leads for the team
  • Conduct face to face meetings with your existing and new clients
  • Create sponsorship opportunities
  • Manage all aspects of the tender/RFI process
  • Report and escalate sales forecasts to the Head of Sales
  • Create new opportunities within your existing client base
  • Attend relevant trade shows and exhibitions

Key skills and attributes required for this position are:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience of selling within the exhibition / events space
  • Either B2B or B2C Events sales experience
  • Ability to close and negotiate deals on the phone and face to face
  • The desire and ability to make a new business sales call
  • A proven track record within a sales environment
  • Demonstrable evidence of upselling and recognising sales opportunities

Due to the nature of the event, this position would suit a candidate that has a strong interest in outdoor sporting activities.
