Huge opportunity for an experienced Group Event Director or Portfolio Director to lead the commercial success of a global exhibition / trade show portfolio - working on a flagship event for a leading expo organiser based in London.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be a superb people-manager with stacks of experience in driving team performance. You’ll oversee four teams in addition to strategic, operational and P&L responsibility.

This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for a self-motivated and commercially-driven individual to take control of an international portfolio of B2B events. You’ll travel the world, matching (or exceeding) the success of the best performing edition across the portfolio.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coaching and developing team members to create an outstanding cohesive team that meets or exceeds targets
  • Stimulating a culture of collaboration, respect and high-achievement
  • Driving the strategy, plans and budgets for multiple international editions of the business’ flagship event.
  • Focus on strategic commercial success and submitting monthly reports
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of the profitability of the portfolio and managing P&L
  • The role will require plenty of international travel

Key requirements:

  • Experience in ownership and delivery of large-scale B2B events
  • Experience of leading large-scale and complex international content/sponsorship-led events
  • Enthusiastic and infectious leadership style
  • Sound negotiating and influencing skills
  • Experience of building and performance-managing new event teams
