We’re looking for a passionate and hard-working events Marketing professional to join a rapidly growing B2B event organiser. You’ll need to be an experienced exhibition marketer with a keen eye for detail and a strong, balanced knowledge of the marketing mix. The position is based in London.

The Role:

You’ll join a successful organiser on a portfolio of public sector exhibitions which feature high-level conferences and extensive seminar programmes for over 100 exhibitors.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of exhibition marketing across three events, including preparation of the marketing plan, briefing in creative, managing 3rd party supplier for print, analysis and segmenting data, writing copy and managing email and direct marking campaigns.

You’ll also liaise with exhibitors, sponsors and supporters looking for way to extend the marketing of the event beyond the business’ database of contacts.

What you’ll be doing

  • Researching, planning, writing and implementing of the exhibition marketing plans
  • Managing the visitor acquisition campaign of exhibitions from start to finish
  • Database analysis, segmentation and management
  • Copywriting  - online and offline
  • Updating the websites
  • Market and competitor research
  • Day-to-day general enquiries from visitors and exhibitors
  • Liaising with external suppliers to ensure event collateral is produced and delivered on time
  • Working with the programme managers to obtain speaker bio’s, photos, corporate logos etc for web and print materials
  • Managing exhibitor marketing opportunities
  • Managing the registration team pre-show and onsite
  • Assisting the event team onsite with the set-up, registration and breakdown of the events
  • Collating the post-exhibition report
  • General administrative support
  • Other work as requested across the divisions

Key Requirements:

  • You will have a marketing qualification and/or at least two years’ experience in a marketing role
  • You will need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a ‘can do’ mentality
  • You will be very organised and able to multi task effectively.
  • You will have excellent and creative writing skills, ideally with experience of producing commercially driven marketing copy that sells.
  • Target driven and goal orientated
  • Significant exhibition marketing experience
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills
  • Experience in SEO and PPC campaigns
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without compromising on quality of delivery
  • Highly organised, quick thinking and methodical
  • Able to multi task effectively
  • Able to persuade and negotiate
  • Excellent copywriting skills 
  • Previous experience of email marketing (for acquisition and conversion campaigns)
  • Track record in working with the full mix of marketing, digital media and communication channels
