We’re looking for a headstrong and well-organised events Marketing professional to join a rapidly growing B2B event organiser serving the agricultural sector. You’ll need to be an experienced marketer with a keen eye for detail and a balanced knowledge of the marketing mix. The position is based in Daventry, UK.

The Role:

You’ll join a successful organiser on a high-level exhibition / trade show in the farming industry as the Marketing Manager. You’ll be focused on delivering target audience to budget, building strong business and content led events and delivering the events communication strategy in order to drive success.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of exhibition marketing including preparation of the marketing plan, briefing in creative, managing 3rd party suppliers, writing copy and managing email and direct marking campaigns.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll prepare the marketing and communications element of the business plans, reflective of current and future market trends in the industry
  • You’ll develop the long-term strategy for marketing to both exhibitors and visitors and technical content
  • Producing marketing budgets, ensuring that they are always up-to-date and correctly allocated
  • Optimising and delivering to budget
  • Market and competitor research
  • Liaising with external suppliers to ensure event collateral is produced and delivered on time
  • Preparing post-event visitor and exhibitor surveys, collating and analysing the results in order to develop future business plans and influence future marketing material

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, including digital marketing expertise
  • Knowledge of the farming industry
  • You will need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a ‘can do’ mentality
  • You will be very organised and able to multi-task effectively
  • You will have excellent and creative writing skills, ideally with experience of producing commercially driven marketing copy that sells
  • Target driven and goal orientated
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills
  • Highly organised, quick thinking and methodical
  • Track record in working with the full mix of marketing, digital media and communication channels
