Group Marketing Manager Automotive Exhibitions - London

£40,000 - £50,000 plus bonus - Exhibitions & Conferences - Marketing

Excellent opportunity for a marketer with consumer-event experience to join a fun and fast-paced exhibition and live event organiser. You’ll be driving both consumer and B2B success across some hugely popular shows in the automotive sector. You’ll need a strong track record in event marketing and a passion for motoring.

The Role

You’ll be part of a work-hard, play-hard environment, devising and delivering multi-channel campaigns across the automotive portfolio, ensuring that they attract the forecasted visitor numbers and encourage participation among exhibitors and sponsors.

You’ll need to be a hands-on marketer with a good mix of strategic and digital competencies as well as a background in exhibitions / events.


  • You’ll plan and deliver winning marketing campaigns across the portfolio – getting stuck in to media planning, allocating advertising spend, managing the brand, media cross-promotions, PR and digital / social channels
  • Control, planning and reporting over the marketing budget
  • Managing digital channels with support from a marketing executive, including driving success of the website, email campaigns, content and social media
  • Copywriting for digital and print as well as working closely with a PR agency to maximise pre, post and at-show coverage
  • Supplier selection and liaison, negotiating cost and monitoring output
  • Working closely with the sales and operations teams to fulfil commitments to sponsors, stakeholders and media partners
  • Identifying, exploring and implementing new routed to market, pricing structures and ways to maximise ticket sales and revenues
  • Adhering to strict brand guidelines
  • Producing in-depth reporting and analysis of all marketing, promotional and press activity to distribute and inform future plans and activity


  • You’ll need to demonstrate in-depth experience in marketing consumer events with a track record in driving both event attendees and investment from exhibitors / sponsors
  • Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and to operate as part of a team
  • Strong and creative copywriting ability
  • Ability to work to deadline and remain good-humoured under pressure
  • Good understanding and experience of brand management
  • Ability to manage and develop junior team members
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced Word, Powerpoint and Excel abilities
  • Passion and knowledge for motoring / the automotive industry
