We’re looking for a skilled Conference professional to work on a series of market-leading engineering conferences.

You’ll join a fast-growing and well-respected event organiser as Content Manager, responsible for the global content strategy across the portfolio. You’ll need very strong experience of UK and international conference production and content management.

The Roles:

As Content Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and production of content for a range of engineering and technology events, managing freelance producers where dual language content is necessary.

You’ll be responsible for the creation and direction of the global content strategy. This will include research, programme development, format development and speaker acquisition as well as the content delivered by freelance producers.

Key Requirements:

  • Three years’ experience of conference production (UK and internationally)
  • Experience of implementing new business development ideas
  • Track record in effective brand communication and collaboration
  • Experience of launching new events and products in new markets is preferable
  • Dynamic and driven entrepreneurial individual
  • Proven track record of success within the commercial conference/content-led exhibition world
  • A high level of commercial awareness - a target and deadline driven individual
  • Strongly results-focused, able to clearly demonstrate success via proven metrics
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating, communication and presentation skills

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Management and delivery of content production, including:

-      Research & Analysis
-      Content development and topic generation
-      Speaker Acquisition  
-      Copy Writing of sales-driven print, web, direct mail and email copy

  • Project Management: Working with the show project teams (sales, marketing and operations) to deliver to deadline and on budget
  • Budget management: Ensure all costs are effectively scrutinised and managed
  • Content marketing: Create content marketing strategy in conjunction with the marketing team
  • Onsite Delivery: managing meticulous on-site execution of content & customer service
  • Evaluate the performance of content at each show, producing a post-show report and recommendations for future event plans
