We’re looking for an experienced exhibition sales professional to join a fast-paced and energetic event organiser with a focus on creating ultimate customer value. The Account Manager role is ideal for a tenacious and highly motivated individual with a strong background in the events industry.

The Role:

You’ll need to be an entrepreneurial events sales professional with a hunger to achieve targets while maximising customer enhancement. Do you strive to achieve excellence as standard? This position could be for you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Successfully achieving / exceeding specified individual and event targets and performance objectives (KPIs)
  • Selling a range of solutions to existing clients to maintain and grow relationships
  • Arranging & attending sales meetings with clients in order to fully understand their needs and offer them the best possible solution
  • Being able to demonstrate the value of the business’ solutions to clients and track how they perceive that value through the show/event cycle
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts where required
  • Writing proposals to a high standard that sell the value of the solution
  • Building account plans for all key/growth accounts that identify opportunities and map out the action plan in each case to show how you will achieve the full revenue potential
  • Building a network of customer contacts and sourcing for new ideas. Also providing support to the UK marketing team at other industry events where required
  • Managing existing customer relationships throughout the show cycle to build trust and rapport. Ensuring that they take full use of all our services so they achieve the best outcome from their investment with us
  • Responding to customer requests and ensuring that clients receive a timely response
  • Ensuring all customer and account information is recorded accurately in Salesforce

Key Requirements:

  • You’ll need a minimum of 3 years’ experience selling exhibition stand space, sponsorship or a similar premium product or service in an events environment
  • Experience in managing large accounts
  • Use of Salesforce or similar CRM
  • You’ll need to be a motivated individual with the ability to work in a high performing, fast paced matrix environment
  • You’ll need a strong work ethic and desire to succeed, you’ll be sales and results driven with a positive ‘can-do attitude’
  • Able to understand customer needs (implied and explicit) and adapt a tailored solution for them
  • Relationship building skills that helps build trust and rapport with new and existing customers
