We're looking for a switched-on Account Manager to join a global, multi-faceted events service supplier, serving the world’s largest event businesses. You'll need a strong track record in a B2B sales environment and excellent relationship-building skills. 

The role:

You’ll target and deliver new business opportunities for this multi-national exhibition / trade show / live event supplier.

You’ll work closely with the in-house teams; sales, design and project management, ensuring that salesforce is used correctly & continually, as a control and reporting resource.

What you’ll be doing:

  • To pro-actively target any leads generated, maximising the conversion likelihood through relationship building and high quality communication
  • To identify any margin improvement opportunities on all clients
  • To identify any additional services which may be presented to new clients, from other divisions of the business
  • To work closely with the Commercial Director, Sales team, Marketing team and Lead Generation team, to maximise the target sales strategies
  • To ensure that all internal systems are utilised to their full, most importantly Salesforce and to show initiatives on maximising revenues
  • To ensure that all presentation of the company is high quality, whether spoken, graphic or written
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement ensuring suggestions and opportunities are highlighted to your line manager
  • Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company
  • Take a participative role in the Company’s sustainability initiative and ensure where possible your actions support the achievement of this initiative; reuse, recycle and replenish

Key requirements:

  • Experience within a commercial B2B sales position
  • Experience in the exhibitions / events industry would be preferable
  • Financial acumen and good numerical ability
  • Communication (verbal, written and listening skills), with excellent spelling, grammar and the ability to produce error-free documents
  • Self-motivation and management of workload
  • Managing time and prioritising
  • Planning and organising
  • Monitoring and evaluating
  • Decision making skills
  • Understanding of company policies and ability to implement them
  • Working on your own, using initiative, as well as being an enthusiastic team player
  • Problem solving, questioning and focussed on finding solutions

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
